Become a Member

Any voluntary sector organisation or community group based in Camden can become a member of CamdenCEN and it costs absolutely nothing.

Attend a Seminar

Every year, CamdenCEN regularly hosts a number of free seminars with voluntary and community organisations (VCO's) from Camden. The seminars cover issues that affect the sector and provide an avenue for community groups to share information and experiences. This enables CamdenCEN to gather the perspectives of VCO's in Camden on issues affecting the sector which are then fed back to strategic and decision-making bodies.

Campaigns, Consultations and Petitions

Following on from feedback received at the CamdenCEN seminar: Responding to Financial Challenges and Managing Impacts, CamdenCEN has produced a document listing local, London-wide and national campaigns, consultations and petitions you can join up to should you wish to.

None of the listed items here are affiliated with CamdenCEN so please use the contact details provided if you wish to engage with the organisation or activity.

CamdenCEN Executive Board Elections

The CamdenCEN Executive Board are elected for a period of 18 months by registered CamdenCEN member organisations. The new members term of office runs from September 2010 to February 2012.

In 2010, elections were delayed due to uncertainty over future funding but on the 30th June 2010, the current Board were elected and subsequently inducted on the 7th September.

On the 22nd October 2010, the Executive Board elected four representatives to represent the VCS at the LSP.

Voluntary Sector asked for their ideas on how to do more for less

A recent open letter written by Francis Maude (Minister for the Cabinet Office) and Nick Hurd (Minister for Civil Society), asks voluntary, community and social enterprise groups for their ideas on how to help reduce the deficit. Your concerns, ideas for savings, and examples of best practice can be posted on the Cabinet Office Website or emailed directly to the Office for Civil Society. Find out more....
